Jinx...
I sure don't want to jinx ourselves, but Summer has slept pretty well the last few days. Last night was kind of nice in that she woke up at 4:30, I fed her and walked her for a short time, put her down and she fell asleep without any crying at all, and slept another 3 hours (from 5:30 - 8:30). Here she is at 8:30 this morning:

When I first looked in on her, her left leg was touching the wall...she is SO LONG! but when I went to get the camera she heard me walking around and wriggled around a little bit. I put her in the long way and she moves to that position, to get her head against the wall for comfort I imagine.
Anyway, I know many will ask, "What is she doing on her face?!?" Well, Jess and I have discussed this and yes, SIDS is more likely in the case of her lying on her stomach, but it's a 1000 to 1 chance, versus 1500 to 1 on her back...pretty unlikely either way, and we don't do it all the time. It is much more comfortable for her and her neck is very strong. We've let her sleep like that with us awake and watching, and she has very good control over her head. We put her down on her back at times and will try to get her more on her back, as she learns to sleep better and better. We just have to take it one day at a time. So, please, don't judge. She's doing very well and is very happy. Which reminds me of one other thing I didn't mention in my last big long post.
I mentioned how she sticks out her tongue and is very alert, and I've mentioned before she seems to smile a little. Well, nowadays she is very cognizant of who we are and smiles and kinda giggles. When I came home last night and took her in my lap and leaned her back against my legs, she lit up and smiled and giggled and stuck out her tongue. She was really good, hardly any screaming and when she did, a quick diaper change took care of it. She loves playing with mommy and daddy.
Just as I was leaving Jessica had finished feeding her and was reading her Goodnight Moon. I took a few pictures and one or two were pretty good, I'll post one later.
