Happy Memorial Day!
So, I keep trying to catch a good video of Summer walking. Last night I got a few pics of Summer playing with Cheeto and had a reasonably good video, but I wasn't totally happy with it. I got a lot better one today. But first, here is Summer playing with Cheeto, sort of. We finally brought in the cat tree, as you can see, and the cats and Summer are very interested in it. Sure, it takes up more room in the apartment, but the cats are really loving it.

So, Summer being the myna bird she is...she saw Cheeto scratching, so she decided she wanted to try, too.

In the last post I mentioned how we all went geocaching, but didn't bring the camera. Well, today, Jess had to have that phone call to set up some work, so I took Summer out to find a cache. We went back to Fox Run and I pushed Summer around on the stroller. (We definitely need a hiking backpack, or one of the three wheeled strollers.) The ride was bumpy, but Summer didn't mind, she was so tired, she slept anyway.

So, I dragged the stroller off the beaten path and she still slept. She did wake up while I was looking and we ended up looking together. Then we finally found it! This one was the Foxy Box.

This one was kind of harder to find than the first one. At the spot my GPS said I was 30 yards from the given coordinates. Hmmm...The earth is SO big, I guess there can be SOME leeway. Either way we found it! Here Summer is sitting by the cache. We took that top she was holding and another one and then left that My Pretty Pony and a dinosaur.

Geocaching can be tough, but it is rewarding. It's a modern day treasure hunt. I still have one more in the Fox Run park in my GPS, and there are others, so we'll be heading back! Too fun!
Well, after the find we headed back and in the parking lot there were two ladies that brought their horses to go for a ride. This horse's name is Daryl.

Other than seeing the wild donkeys in South Dakota (which she couldn't touch), these were the first horses Summer has ever seen close up! And she got to pet them.

After the trip I got Summer home and we played for a while. She's been in a much better mood and she's eating again. Every time she gets sick and throws up she really loses her appetite. She is talkative, and running around! And later in the day I got a good video of her walking. I had to set the camera on her music table, because when I hold it she gets excited and falls...so I started the camera and held her up and got her started, then she was fine, as you'll see! One thing to notice is that about halfway she bent down to look at the camera and then looked at Mommy. Then she straightened back up and walked the rest of the way. That shows off how strong her legs are, she can do squats. :-)
